Howard M. Kuo, AIA is a Principal and Co-Founder of Kuo Diedrich Chi. As a respected luminary on design, he creates successful projects with clients around the world by delivering solutions that are elegant, innovative and authentic. Howard’s global viewpoint, as well as his distinctive blend of design aesthetic and management, ensures the proper implementation of artistic ideas.

The timeless modernism of Frank Lloyd Wright, I.M. Pei and Mies van der Rohe have inspired me. To distill complex design problems into simple solutions is difficult yet rewarding. As van der Rohe said, "Less is more."

Howard earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while graduating with multiple design honors and a concentration in management. He is a registered Architect and certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) with registrations held in Georgia and over a dozen other states. Howard is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), a guest juror/speaker at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) and Hampton University, and a regular attendee of golf industry conferences worldwide. Raised in Blacksburg Virginia, Howard's eclectic interests range from golf to NASCAR to horology, but as often as possible, he devotes the majority of his free time to his wife and two daughters.
