Kuo Diedrich Chi Architects kicked off 2022 in award-winning fashion courtesy of two newly opened projects at Reynolds Lake Oconee.

For a private club community featuring six championship courses, numerous clubhouse dining/fitness venues, a Ritz-Carlton Resort and 350 miles of Lake Oconee shoreline 85 miles east of Atlanta, many resident members seemingly had everything imaginable from a club lifestyle perspective. However, the cherry on top is the newly added 35-acre “lifestyle and fitness-oriented” village at Richland Pointe, which proudly earned first place recognition in Golf Inc. Magazine’s latest coverage of the country’s “Best New Amenities.”

At Richland Pointe, the collective mission was to create spaces where active Platinum Club-level members could enjoy many distinctive indoor-outdoor lifestyle experiences and fitness-oriented activities away from the bustling community of 3,300 active members.

The 11,000-square-foot Wellness and Fitness Facility and adult-only relaxation pool are just two of the award-winning amenities our architectural team designed at the popular new destination, which opened last July.

Next to the state-of-the-art spa and fitness facility is another hub of exclusive clubhouse amenities we conceived for Platinum Club members, featuring a family-oriented resort-style pool, globally-inspired waterfront restaurant and an unforgettable 90-foot-long clubhouse bar that comfortably seats 40 – more than double the typical capacity of private club bars.

In addition, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds also received second place in Golf Inc.’s Best New Amenities in the Public Facility category following our newly designed resort-style family pool complex. While we are thrilled that Reynolds Lake Oconee-Richland Pointe and The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds earned Golf Inc. honors, the ultimate mark of success is when our clubhouse designs positively impact the spaces we’re entrusted to reimagine.

So far, we have achieved our goal as the club is clamoring to experience the new Platinum Richland Pointe, with some 20% of the Silver-level members upgrading their membership plans from $30,000 initiation fees to $60,000. Now that’s a design reward worth celebrating any day.
